It is now 2021, we go forward with hope this new year is going to be better than the last. By the way, at the time of recording, it was still 2020.\n\nToday on the podcast I was very lucky to have on Mecca \"the MIC Checker\" Nelson. Mecca is the CEO of Mecca’s City of Wholeness & the YOMA Method, a minority women-owned business enterprise which practices the revolutionary YOMA method, which incorporates Vinyasa yoga, mixed martial arts, mindfulness and meditation. \n\nHer health and wellness journey started over a decade ago while living a military lifestyle with her late husband, who served in the United States Army. Unfortunately, she lost her husband while he was serving the country during a mission in Iraq. \n\nAs a Gold Star Spouse, Mecca began training in martial arts to cope with the tragic and unexpected loss of her husband. By channelling her energy into creating a wellness program which could benefit others, she found the strength to endure her loss and forge a new pathway for herself and her daughter. \n\nSo please enjoy the podcast and stay safe, stay well, be awesome, and please take a moment to tell a friend and subscribe.
