She has been developing, testing, and sharing these ideas for more than 10 years now, with a staggering 90% success rate! Danielle attributes this success to her undeniable gift to identify and nurture 5-Star Employees. She knows in order to succeed, leaders need to get comfortable with the uncomfortable and go all in on their employees, who will reciprocate and go all in on the company.\n\n\n\nIn this episode, Dean Newlund and Danielle Mulvey discuss:\n\nCasting a wide net \nHiring based on alignment \nWhy is it important to be aligned \nThe difference between limber and flexible\n\n\n\nKey Takeaways:\n\nOne out of seven candidates is a potential five-star employee. The key is to cast a wide net, attracting as many candidates as possible and getting out of the box with your recruitment strategies. \nHire people who are aligned with your true core values. That’s the foundation of any business. If people aren’t aligned, the relationship will not last.  \nIf you don’t love what you’re doing, you’ll go to work and be in pain the whole day through. This is a great cause for inefficiency in the workplace, people can’t go into flow and they’ll probably tap out  after three hours at work. \nIf you’re an employer, you’re looking for limber people, not flexible people. A limber person is someone who’s amenable to change, not rigid, someone who can go with the flow and do what’s asked of them. \n\n\"When you're working with like-minded people who have the same core values, I mean, that's where the magic happens..\" —  Danielle Mulvey\n\n\n\nSee Dean’s TedTalk “Why Business Needs Intuition” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEq9IYvgV7I\n\n\n\n\n\nConnect with Danielle Mulvey:  \n\nWebsite: www.5staremployees.com\n\nLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/danielle-mulvey-66a315/\n\n\n\nConnect with Dean:\n\nYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgqRK8GC8jBIFYPmECUCMkw\n\nWebsite: https://www.mfileadership.com/\n\nThe Mission Statement E-Newsletter: https://www.mfileadership.com/blog/\n\nLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/deannewlund/\n\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/deannewlund\n\nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/MissionFacilitators/\n\nEmail: dean.newlund@mfileadership.com\n\nPhone: 1-800-926-7370\n\n\n\n\n\nShow notes by Podcastologist: Justine Talla\n\n\n\nAudio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions.
