He has the unique experience of personally helping hundreds of businesses grow simply using the WTS Method. His specialty is taking stressed-out entrepreneurs from working \"in\" their business to working \"on\" their business using systems so that profit and freedom can become a consistent mechanical reality. \n\nJosh has personally consulted or coached over 1000 business owners from more than 100 industries, from small startup businesses to $500M enterprises. \n\n\n\nIn this episode, Dean Newlund and Josh Fonger discuss:\n\nTaking a step back \nDocumenting your work \nEmpowering your team \nGetting consistent results\n\n\n\nKey Takeaways:\n\nIf you step back and document all the problems that happen on a consistent basis, you could be better prepared to face them instead of just reacting each time. \nWrite down your whole day, track everything all through out for at least two days. It’s going to be tedious, but it will open your eyes and allow you to be able to recognize the recurring problems and inefficiencies. \nIf you’re a manager, you’ve got to delegate the tasks properly. You need to have full documentation and clarity on the instructions on how to do the task correctly from start to finish. By doing this, you could also empower your team so that they know exactly what to do. \nThe only way to get consistent and controlled results is to fully document the instructions for a task. Doing this doesn’t only bring clarity to what the team member is supposed to do but it also helps them know what is expected of them. \n\n\"If you develop and then document the systems that make up what you do, what your team does, eventually, those problems aren't gonna be happening anymore because you're gonna be cutting out variability, you're gonna be cutting out waste in terms of time and materials.\" —  Josh Fonger\n\n\n\nSee Dean’s TedTalk “Why Business Needs Intuition” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEq9IYvgV7I\n\nConnect with Josh Fonger:  \n\nWebsite: https://wtsenterprises.com/\n\nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/workthesystem\n\nLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/joshfonger/\n\n Connect with Dean:\n\nYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgqRK8GC8jBIFYPmECUCMkw\n\nWebsite: https://www.mfileadership.com/\n\nThe Mission Statement E-Newsletter: https://www.mfileadership.com/blog/\n\nLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/deannewlund/\n\nTwitter: https://twitter.com/deannewlund\n\nFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/MissionFacilitators/\n\nEmail: dean.newlund@mfileadership.com\n\nPhone: 1-800-926-7370\n\n\n\n\n\nShow notes by Podcastologist: Justine Talla Audio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions.
