Welcome to the newest side of The Sparkle Pod - our Member Story Series. First off the ranks is a North Island based, beautiful member of ours - who we've also both had the pleasure of meeting IRL - Mel. Mel has been with us and part of our community since pretty much day dot. She stumbled across Move it Mama on Facebook one day and has basically worked out with us 5x a week ever since (that's around 8 years now). Exercise has always been a constant in Mel's world: after the sudden and very tragic death of her brother, she found running. From there, Mel was into CrossFit for years and since having her two babies, Move it Mama has been her exercise. So much so that her children often now say to her, \"you're stronger than you were when you woke up, Mum\". We discuss it all today - from what that trauma and grief of losing her sibling has taught her, to life-long body image struggles, navigating the end of a marriage, life as a single mother and entering into a new, happy and content relationship four years ago with her now partner. We think you will love this open, real and vulnerable chat. Naturally you'll hear many side tangents along the way, along the lines of sluttier days, the nasty scales and dildos next to the bed. We hope you love this series. A big thank you to Mel - we are endlessly grateful for your vulnerability, as well as your support to all things Move it Mama. "}
