He set out to complete this feat of endurance not for this record, but for his late brother Jase, who unfortunately lost his battle with depression. The aim of Ben's journey around Australia was to start a conversation about mental health whilst passing  through every state and territory.\n\nHe spoke to thousands of adolescents and adults — sharing stories, inspiring many and creating a community of love, understanding and kindness. Ben and the Ride for Jase organisation managed to raise over $386,217 during the course of the ride and after it, with money (given to the Blackdog Institute) put towards suicide prevention programs and mental health education in schools and community-based settings with the aim of decreasing suicide rates."}
