I did not see a ton of deer, but I did see deer. I got away from my cameras and set up where I suspected the travel to be, and I was right for the most part. Bad winds forced me from the tree early this morning, after a 1.5 year old spike busted me at 30 yards. I figured if he did it, the big one would also. I scouted for a bit with my setup on my back ready to go, and found a few more active scrapes, but also found a treestand and cell camera. I hunted a small ridge for about an hour before the sky looked like it was getting angry, but I didn't see any cruisers in that location. I figure, the other guys can have that spot for now but I will continue my scouting until I find THE spot. \nTonight's setup was playing off of camera data from this morning, a late morning cruiser headed towards a bedding area I suspect he may be using. I was debating on staying home, but the radar showed the rain would clear up around 5 and it would just be a little breezy after. I packed up and headed out around 3, headed upwind of the bedding area.\n At 5:15 I turned and saw a deer moving down a small path, honestly the same one I walked in on an hour earlier. I instantly saw a rack even at 75 yards, and I could see it definitely wasn't small. But that buck left my life just as soon as he walked into it, not having a care in the world about my grunts OR rattling antlers. \nTomorrow doesn't look like a safe day in the woods but the alarm is set anyways. If I wake up to good weather I will be headed out again, otherwise Sunday morning looks like it could be the best day, my LAST day of rutcation.. so I plan to get in the woods early and sit as long as I can.\nThank you all for listening and best of luck if you make it out this weekend! \nPredator Hunter Outdoors\nHuntWise\nORC Archery\nSiOnyx "}
