The business brings an order book of just under €10 million and is expected to be earnings accretive for full year 2026.\n\nKhan said the deal complements hVIVO's existing work in cardiometabolic, respiratory and infectious disease, adding two further therapeutic areas. On women's health, he noted women have historically been underrepresented in early clinical research, an area he expects hVIVO to grow.\n\nThe acquisition also boosts capacity for larger Phase II trials and gives access to a potential patient population of around six million in metropolitan Berlin. \"For us, it does create new markets as well as giving us new cross-selling opportunities,\" Khan said.\n\nIntegration is expected to be straightforward given hVIVO's existing close ties to CRS Berlin following its earlier acquisitions of CRS Kiel and CRS Mannheim, with shared patient recruitment, back-office and project management functions already in place.\n\nOn deal structure, Khan said a nominal upfront payment with the remainder linked to a three-year revenue-based earn-out allows hVIVO to add capacity and growth opportunities while maintaining a strong balance sheet.\n\nVisit Proactive’s YouTube channel for more interviews and market updates.
