He has been awarded an MBE for services to Education and Charity – along with multiple other awards including a National Teaching Award, Inspirational Teacher of the Year, National Happiest School Person and Adventurer of the Year amongst many others.\n\nSteve’s motto is ‘I can and I will’ – he believes that through self-belief, hard work, determination and never giving up anything is in life is possible. \n\n Challenges have included:\n•\t2009 - Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania – the highest mountain in Africa\n•\t2010 - Climbing Mont Blanc – the highest mountain in Western Europe\n•\t2011 - Trekking 200 miles through the Sahara Desert\n•\t2012 - Climbing Mount Elbrus in Russia - the highest mountain in Europe\n•\t2013 - Completing an expedition through the Arctic wilderness with huskies\n•\t2013 - Trekking through the Jungles of Borneo\n•\t2013 - Climbing Mount Kinabalu – the highest mountain in South East Asia\n•\t2014 - Trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp\n•\t2014 - Completing the Tenzing Hillary Mount Everest  Marathon\n•\t2015 - Completing the UVU North Pole Marathon\n•\t2016 - Completing the Petra Desert Marathon\n•\t2017 - Completing the Amazon Jungle Ultra Marathon – 230km self-supported race through the Amazon Jungle\n•\t2018 - Completing the Arctic Ice Ultra -  230km self-supported race through the Arctic Wilderness\n•\t2018 – Completing the London Marathon\n•\t2018 - Completing the Uganda Marathon\n•\t2019 - Climbing Mount Toubkal – the highest mountain in North Africa.\n•\t2019 - Completing the Uganda Marathon \n•\t2021 – The Great Norse Run – 10 Marathons in 10 Days running the length of Iceland\n•\tMany more Challenges planned for the future........\n\n"}
